CLIMATE:
Typically mediterranean and set in the sub-region of Vidigueira, where the climatic conditions are the most temperate of Alentejo and provide an excellent microclimate for the production of quality wines.
SOIL:
oor land, predominantly of granite and schist. Great pedological potential for the cultivation of vines and for obtaining excellent wines. The varieties Alicante Bouschet and Aragonez are trellised in a vertical shoot position and the Touriga Nacional in LYS, a multi-spaced system allowing greater sun exposure. The rows have an east/west orientation with the grape varieties at different exposures: Alicante Bouschet and Aragonez (west) and Touriga Nacional (east).

VINIFICATION:
Manual harvest into 12 kg boxes. In the winery, the grapes underwent careful selection on a vibrating sorting table before destemming with a slight crushing of the berries. After 48 hours of pre-fermentation cold maceration, fermentation took place in french oak vats and in open fermenter lagares at a controlled temperature of around 24ºC for a period of 12 days. AGING ›The wine aged in french oak barrels, for six months. Bottle aging for six months. TASTING NOTES ›Deep and concentrated ruby colour. Pleasing black fruit and mineral aromas with well integrated notes of spices from barrel aging. Firm tannins and balanced acidity.
